With COVID-19 resulting in extended school closures, reductions in employment, and isolation, children and their families are facing unprecedented challenges in getting the food they need. We at the Wills Group have sought to help alleviate some of the strain that our food banks are facing, with the ultimate goal of helping to flatten the hunger curve. While we are proud of the contributions we have made to date to help address this increased demand for food, the need still remains.
Philanthropic Donations to Date:
Through the Blackie Wills Community Leadership Fund, we have donated $500,000 across seven regional food bank partners and local food pantries: Maryland Food Bank, Food Bank of Delaware, Feed More of Richmond, Capital Area Food Bank, Farming 4 Hunger, Southern Maryland Food Bank, and LifeStyles of Maryland.
